KANSAS CITY, Kan. (July 1, 2006) - Dario Franchitti, driver of the #27 Klein Tools/Canadian Club car, will start 14th for the Kansas Lottery Indy 300, the eighth of 14 races on the 2006 IndyCar Series schedule. On his first qualifying lap, Franchitti posted a speed of 209.336 miles per hour (26.1398 seconds).
Sunday's race will be broadcast live by ABC Sports beginning at 1 p.m. (EDT). The entire IndyCar Series schedule can be heard live by XM Satellite Radio subscribers by tuning into XM channel 145, the exclusive home of the IndyCar Series.
Dario Franchitti, #27 Klein Tools/Canadian Club Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"At this point, that is about all the Klein Tools/Canadian Club car has. The AGR cars are all in a line and I don't know what we're doing wrong but there is obviously a problem. We still have a lot of work to do."
