FRANCHITTI QUALIFIES 7TH IN MOTEGI, JAPAN

MOTEGI, Japan (April 20, 2007) - Dario Franchitti drove the #27 Canadian Club car to a seventh place starting position in the Indy Japan 300.  Franchitti posted a best-lap speed of 203.723 mph (26.8600 secs) on his first qualifying lap.

The third race of the IndyCar Series season will take place Saturday, April 21, at Twin Ring Motegi.  The Indy Japan 300 can be seen live on indycar.com at 11:30 p.m. EST, Friday, April 20, or on ESPN on a tape-delay basis at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, April 21.

Dario Franchitti, #27 Canadian Club Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"The Canadian Club car has been okay this weekend.  I was running wide open in the qualifying run.  Our speed is missing in turns three and four.  Out of the four Andretti Green cars, I think we have the most agressive set-up.  We just have a bit of understeer, but we'll figure it out.  Qualifying and the race are a lot different though.  I think we're in good shape for the race tomorrow.  I think all four AGR cars will do well."
