NOTES

Dario Franchitti and the No. 40 Juicy Fruit Dodge Team (NSCS) and No. 40 Fastenal Dodge Team (NNS)

Sweet Ride, Franchitti:  This weekend the bright and fun yellow color of Wrigley's® Juicy Fruit will adorn the No. 40 CGRFS Dodge.  Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company became a CGRFS partner in 2007, serving as a primary sponsor in the NNS and NSCS.  This year Wrigley has been serving as a primary partner sponsoring Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 CGRFS NSCS team.  This will be Franchitti's first time representing the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company which is the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of chewing gum.

Rookie Update:  Franchitti is now third in the NSCS Raybestos Rookie of the Year race, just seven points (61) behind rookie class leader Regan Smith (68).  Franchitti still leads the NNS Raybestos Rookie off the Year standings.  With a total of 69 points, he leads fellow CGRFS teammate Bryan Clauson (whose current tally is 52) by 17 points.

Not His First Rodeo at PIR:  When Franchitti gets on track Thursday for NSCS first practice it won't be his first time driving a stock car on the 1-mile oval.  Franchitti made his third-career NNS start at Phoenix last November, driving the No. 42 CGRFS NNS Dodge to a 29th-place finish (started eighth).

Check out the Parrott Perspective:  Franchitti's NNS crew chief Brad Parrott is keeping fans up to date on what is going on in the world of the Fastenal Racing Team through an on-line log he is keeping throughout the 2008 NNS season.  Check out the Parrott Perspective at  www.fastenalracing.com.

Standings Update:  In the NNS owner standings, Franchitti's No. 40 Fastenal Team advanced three positions—into 18th place—after finishing 11th in the O'Reilly 300 last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.  The team is now listed 18th overall, just 93 points outside the top 10 and 280 out of first.
