Dixon started fifth and got a great jump at the start, but was ordered by IRL officials to relinquish the position and settle back into his original grid position. He would run in the top three throughout the 90-lap before securing the second place result.

Franchitti lined-up seventh and worked his way to fourth after making a wing adjustment on the team’s first stop. He would go on to finish third behind Dixon in the No.10 Suave car.

TCGR Quoteboard:

Dario Franchitti: “The Target team was working hard on the fuel strategy today. Will Power and I were side by side at the end there, but with so many lap cars in between us, it was really hard to fight for the positions. I am pleased to be on the podium and sit second in points after starting in seventh today. It was great to see all the fans. The atmosphere here was incredible and I am looking forward to returning to this track in the future."
