HUGGIES:  This weekend’s Milwaukee IndyFest will mark the second time for the Huggies paint scheme on the No. 10 car.  Franchitti debuted the paint scheme in the 2011 Firestone Twin 275s at Texas Motor Speedway, where he won the first twin 275 as part of a one-two finish with teammate Scott Dixon in second.
10s All Around:  Texas marked the first time both Target cars ended a round in the top-10 in points this season.  With his sixth-place result in Texas, Franchitti entered the top-10 in IZOD IndyCar Series point for the first time in 2013.
Movin’ On Up:  Franchitti has moved up in the point standings in six of the past seven races since Round 2 at Barber Motorsports Park when he sat 26th.  After Long Beach (fourth) Franchitti moved to 20th, following Sao Paulo (seventh) he moved to 15th, after Detroit’s doubleheader (sixth/fifth) he moved to 11th and after Texas (sixth) he is now 10th in point standings (-91).  Helio Castroneves leads with 259.
Ovals Abound:  The Milwaukee IndyFest on Saturday kicks off the second of four consecutive ovals– one intermediate (Texas), one superspeedway (Pocono) and two short ovals (Milwaukee and Iowa).
Oval facts:  Since 1990, TCGR has made 415 starts on ovals, earning 45 wins, 45 poles, 164 top-five finishes (39.5%), 264 top-10 finishes (63.6%), 108 podiums and 21 double podiums.
TCGR Success at Milwaukee:  In 39 starts at Milwaukee Mile, TCGR drivers have amassed four wins (1998: Jimmy Vasser; 2000: Juan Montoya; 2009: Dixon; 2011: Franchitti), three poles (2000: Montoya; 2011: Franchitti; 2012: Franchitti), 14 top-fives and 25 top-10s.
Lucky Number Three:  Franchitti has won the pole position in his last two visits to The Milwaukee Mile.  Two out of the three times a TCGR car has won the pole in Milwaukee they have gone on to win the race (2000: Montoya; 2011: Franchitti).

Dario Franchitti and No. 10 Huggies Team
Last Time in Milwaukee:  Franchitti started on the pole of the 225-lap event and led for 63 laps before relinquishing the lead to pit for a right rear tire going down on the No. 10 Honda.  He restarted seventh and eventually settled into eighth after a series of cautions and pit stops.  Franchitti made a pit stop on lap 169 to rejoin the field 12th.  With 34 laps to go, the team made a final stop while under caution for fresh tires.  On lap 194, Franchitti made contact with the wall in between Turns 3 and 4 forcing him to retire from the event and was credited with 19th.  Just prior to the contact, Franchitti was forced down onto the rumble strips to avoid an incident with another car who came down on him.
Texas Race Rewind:  Franchitti started the race on the outside of the second row after qualifying the No. 10 Honda fourth.  On lap 5 of 228 under caution, Franchitti in eighth held his ground up through lap 15.  On lap 29, the No. 10 car ran 13th and Franchitti reported it was a little free-off halfway through the run.  On lap 46, Franchitti made his way up to ninth and stayed out on course until he came in for his first stop on lap 53.  On lap 64, the No. 10 car drove consistently through to lap 97 in 13th.  On lap 114 under caution, Franchitti jumped to sixth, and on lap 142 while still under caution, the No. 10 car moved up to fourth.  With 27 laps to go, Franchitti ran in seventh and was able to pass one car to finish sixth.
Career at Milwaukee:  In 13 starts at Milwaukee Mile, Franchitti has earned two wins (2004, 2011), two poles (2011, 2012), six top-5s and 10 top-10 finishes.  He has led laps in seven of his 13 starts at the track, leading a high of 161 laps in his 2011 victory.  The driver of the No. 10 car has completed 2,801 of 2,900 laps run at the track in his career (96.5%).
Oval Office:  Franchitti has participated in 133 oval races, earning 16 victories, 14 poles and leading 3,383 laps.
In the Points:  With the results in Texas, Franchitti moved up to 10th in the IZOD IndyCar Series point standings with 168 markers, -91 points behind leader Helio Castroneves.
Rarified Air:  Dario is one of only five drivers to win the Indianapolis 500 and the series title in the same season more than once.  By winning the 2012 Indianapolis 500, he became just the 10th driver in history to win the race three times.
