Mid-Ohio “I think Gil de Ferran and I both share the lap record at Mid-Ohio. Mine goes back to my CART days in 1998 or 1999, but I’m pretty sure I’m still a part of that record. I’ve also been told I hold an IndyCar Series record for the fastest race lap back in 2007. Mid-Ohio is a really physical track…very, very physical. And it’s another challenging road course. It has combinations of fast and slower corners and a lot of blind corners. It’s a place I love to race at and a fun track to drive on. It’s almost impossible to pass at Mid Ohio, which kind of sucks, so it’s important to nail the set-up of the car here and qualify up front. Over the years, I've seemed to find every possible way to lose the race, so I'd love to finally notch a victory out there."
